Please stop by https://www.incuarts.com/be-exhibition to see the thoughtful responses to the question of resilience in the face of discrimination.

My photographic process is entirely dependent upon connection to place. Each interconnected ecological system lies at the threshold of another system and every place is sacred space. Working with the spirits of these places is an attempt to share their interconnectedness as reflections of identity, embodiments of culture, and keepers of stories in human and nonhuman realms. Each of these photos is meant to evoke questions around finding beauty in the struggle or the aftermath of circumstances imposed upon the beings in them. Is it possible to look beyond celebrating resilience to create spaces where no being is forced to persist and persevere simply to be?
